Others ask how to un-back the project, some describe the announcement as a “threat,” and then come the usual buzzwords: Erika Ishii is a “toxic activist,” a “woke idiot,” “Antifa terrorist,” and a few blatantly racist descriptors we obviously won’t repeat here. Understandably, Double Fine turned off the comments.
I’m pretty sure they unknowingly HAVE consumed some media where they have been involved. Destiny 2, WoW and CP2077 aren’t small titles.
But these chuds don’t criticize the quality of work, because they are utterly unable to discern good from bad work. They attack anything they perceive as different, regardless of the nonexistent threat to their lifestyle (outside of the minor facts that sexism, bigotry and racism are to be shunned. These people REALLY REALLY REALLY want to be able to use slurs, because they mentally never left high school and in many cases were the bullies there).
