I am not dismissing Iran’s success but the US military was just not prepared for this last minute conflict. The focus under Biden had been Europe. The middle east, as far as it concerned the US interests, was quiet. Because of this, scarce defenses were in place in these bases. Then Trump showed up and decided to shit the bed without notice.
