But in my book, if they’re mostly alphabetical, that implies the intention was to be fully alphabetical and something’s gone wrong. But maybe that’s just me 😂

It’s just that Great Britain and the Hellenic Republic have a different display text.
Probably sorted by ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 country code. United Kingdom is GBR, Guernsey is GGY, Greece is GRC.
I thought about codes but wouldn’t that put Germany before Denmark? Maybe there’s some other code system
