Exactly. Per Capita puts US and Germany at roughly similar numbers:
USA: 1 museum per ~10,000 residents
Germany: 1 museum per ~12,000 residents
Granted by that metric china is way behind but for the European countries it’s probably not that far off. Comparing the US to all of Europe would be more interesting. Or converting all of the graph to per Capita.
