The Conservatives (EPP) are attempting to force a new vote on Thursday (26th), seeking to reverse Parliament’s NO on indiscriminate scanning. This is a direct attack on democracy and blatant disregard for your right to privacy. No means no. Take action now!

The Greens/European Free Alliance (Greens/EFA) attempted to remove the repeat vote from the agenda, but failed to do so. The vote will now proceed on Thursday, March 26th (source here).

I encourage everyone to go through a thought exercise where they imagine how this could be implemented. Like, what governments would have to do to actually implement this specifically and what it would actually mean for everyone involved. Even Russia has trouble with this and their government doesn’t have to worry about next elections.

My point isnt about technical solutions. Its about people wanting control and power. They will find a way to make it work.

Don’t gloss over the details, they’re important and why we’re seeing this same boring story / Tuta advertising over and over.
