They clearly came to market too early. Trying to time the death of twitter. The 5-10 minutes I spent on that shit was enough to see how broken it was and how many features were missing. You can’t come to market with a broken product in a space that requires exponential growth and the network effect to achieve success.
Zuckerberg had the same problem with his metaverse idea.
Although, to be fair, I don’t know if there really is a way to make that idea successful. Like flying cars, 3D interfaces are cool in sci-fi but impractical in real life
I think VR will eventually find a home in games and video conferencing. BUT it will have to be ridiculously good before people are willing to put on a helmet for it
