I can see why that meme could be a bit controversial, but I do think the meme makes a fair comparison, and censoring that meme defends Putin’s militaristic dictatorship. There’s no misinformation or bigotry here that would deserve a removal. That admin doesn’t seem to be as censor happy as the mods on !worldnews@lemmy.ml, at least.
Hmm thanks. I actually kinda agree, when I saw that meme I thought exactly that, it trivializes the holocaust.
The current horrific situations don’t need any more shitposts. And all this is still free advertising for Fucker Carlson.
I think it is pretty damn hateful to compare a war where civilian casualties are much lighter than recent US wars to a war of extermination against Jewish, Roma, Slavs, and other eastern europeans that ultimately killed around 18 million civilians on the eastern front. It really trivializes the latter.
