To save a click through my history: settings > filters and block > filter words
To use lemmy you need to block news about Zelensky

You could also choose an instance like programming.dev that hides political communities by default
I didn’t even realise my instance did this (I didn’t do research)
But if this is it minimised, I don’t want to see the full amount
I don’t subscribe to political communities at all. If I want to see politics I switch to the All tab. Most of the time I go through Subscribed or Local though.

The people in this thread acting like you need to be tuned in to everything all the time with no filter baffle me. You can block all politics on Lemmy and get your political news elsewhere. People are more than entitled to cultivate the spaces they inhabit and use.
