Personally, I’ve been asking for this for years. Very excited to see this mostly for ublock origin. But there are a few other extensions I use daily that I’d like to have available.
Why use Edge tho? If you want a browser on Android with extensions, just use Firefox. In my humble opinion: M$ anything should be avoided (unless there are specific benefits or features).
I used to. I used Firefox as my daily browser for about 10 years. Desktop use there really isn’t any significant difference, but I find the mobile experience for edge to be better.
I check in on Firefox every six months or so, and while feature parity is mostly there, the way they implemented the features just don’t feel right? Like they’re kinda backwards sometimes? It’s hard to put into words, but they are different, and I prefer the way they function in edge.
Gotcha. That does make sense to me. Its hard to verbalize, but Firefox does seem a bit clunkier than alternatives. Chrome on Android also runs buttery smooth. I’ll have to give Edge a try sometime. I try to keep an open mind, but I do gravitate towards open source (when it makes sense and works well).
Wtf… things we never asked for
