A Facebook group for Cybertruck owners is full of videos and photos of passersby and other drivers flicking them off, leaving notes that say “WHAT’S ELON’S CUM TASTE LIKE?,” and “NAZI CAR,” and people kicking their cars, throwing slices of cheese at it, etc.

What you mean is that you don’t actually have an argument. You just pretend like you do.

Oh so you don’t need to say what someone is projecting when making an argument about someone projecting?

Makes so much sense. Not at all a desperate measure by the thickheaded pseudointellectuel who said “omg lol that’s projection”

You saying that is the same as when Flat-Earthers cry “do your own research”.

the only way these people will learn [is] if they are shamed

              Oh projection…

Ok I can not believe you are not getting this. The people who said the first part are the cybertrunk owners. The comment about projection is both funny and ironic.

You know since the cybertruck owners don’t understand they are being shammed, and are saying the people throwing cheese at them (to shame them) will only learn if they are shamed.

But I mean that shame can be shared now, since anyone who has reading comprehension and who has read the above article would get the joke being made.

You can’t even write. “Cybertrunk” “Samme”. ("Oh it was my autocorrect)

                I read the article.

What do you think is being projected here?

                Stop using buzzwords, wannabe-intellectuels.

But I mean that shame can be shared now

Yes, and…? What does that have to do with psychological projection? Almost as if you didn’t actually understand the word and wanted to seem smarter than you are, isn’t it?

Ok, you have to be trolling at this point. But in case you somehow are not:

Hey, so I’ve got no horse in this race and also not a native English speaker so please bear with me.

To me the op’s statement sounds ironic, but not really a projection. According to google, to project is to unconsciously attribute your thoughts/feelings onto someone else. Like if you’re having an argument and you’re losing and as a self defense you claim that the other party is angry and or unreasonable or whatever.

In this case the cybertruck owner says the guy shaming him should be shamed. He doesn’t realise that it’s him who should feel shame, so it’s ironic.

Am I missing something? Or was it all just some joke and I’m just overthinking it?

Or is the guy being downvoted because he’s being an ass, not because he’s wrong?

“You have to be trolling” is rather in the same category as “do your own research”.

You’re just not able to verbalise what you meant, because the original person didn’t mean anything and was using buzzwords to appear smart.
