Previously it used to be about 2-3 years or so (mostly CPU, GPU, motherboard).
- I don’t drink or smoke so most of my money goes into hobbies.
Previous/most recent upgrade was a Nvidia GTX 1080 to an AMD 7900 XTX
Now it’s currently looking like once every 10+ years unless prices come down before then.

4·5 天前Feel free to disagree but I feel that the last one isn’t a valid point. What’s the point of introducing AI if mismanagement of budget is the primary cause of concerns? Unless AI is introduced to replace the producer and execs.

Jon Seager as the VP of Engineering at Canonical
Seager explained in this morning’s update while there won’t be a “global kill switch” for AI features on Ubuntu, their plan is to deliver all the AI features via Snap packages. So removing AI features on Ubuntu will come down to removing Snaps.

At this point if snaps are being installed on your system you might want to have a talk with the admin/IT guy, unless you are the admin in which case you do you🤷♀️. Carry on good sir/lady/person.
The AI bros on the other hand are probably drooling all over this as AI and Ubuntu basically goes hand in hand.
