I had a friend in this exact situation where every time we hang out his GF would constantly speak in his name when I ask him anything, and he’d just shut up and let her do it.
“Hey dude, do you like X?”
“GF: Yes, he does.”
Unsurprisingly it was a toxic relationship and they eventually broke up but it lasted way too long…
Guys will put up with a lot… But not forever.
Same as girls also. They may be miserable in a relationship for a long time, hoping something will change, and keep remember the first months when the guy was loving and caring.

Yeah, plenty of women are shit people and abusers as well. Sucks that it isn’t typically taken seriously by society.
(I’m not one of those men’s-rights people. The reason abused men aren’t taken seriously is because of harmful gender expectations and toxic-masculinity).
